The Miami Dolphins signed 2020 NFL Draft seventh-round pick Malcolm Perry on Tuesday, according to a tweet from his agent Jason Bernstein. Perry primarily played quarterback for four years at Navy, throwing for 1,311 yards on a 51.3-percent completion rate with 10 touchdowns. It was his speed and ability to carry the ball, however, that worked in Navy’s triple-option offense, with Perry rushing for 4,359 yards and 40 touchdowns, along with 470 yards...

Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez: ‘We’ve had conversations with the Dolphins’ about fans at games

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Dolphins on Monday kicked off the Miami Dolphins Foundation Food Relief Program with a goal of providing 1,000 meals daily to people around Miami Gardens. The drive, held at Hard Rock Stadium, looks to assist with the food insecurity issues in the local area, an issue that has only been amplified with the COVID-19 restrictions, layoffs, and economic hardships currently facing the nation, and will provide meals each weekday and on Sundays for at least a...

Is Tua Tagovailoa starting Week 1 a ‘foregone conclusion’ for Dolphins?

The Miami Dolphins used the fifth-overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft to select Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The conventional wisdom has Tagovailoa starting the year on the bench while veteran incumbent Ryan Fitzpatrick serves as the starter. That may not be the case, however, as more and more people seem to see Tagovailoa winning the starting role straight out of the preseason.

Mike Freeman from Bleacher Report wrote in his “10-point Stance”...

Dolphins’ TE Mike Gesicki hopes to build off 2019 success

As a rookie in 2018, Mike Gesicki was misused by Adam Gase and his coaching staff. The former second-round draft pick played 399 snaps his rookie season and was assigned to block on 19.5% of those snaps.

And all that for a guy that was admittedly not known for his blocking at Penn State.

But 2019 was a different story.

Gesicki was used more efficiently in Chad O’Shea’s offense and, with a veteran like Ryan Fitzpatrick at the helm, finished the season...

How reliable is kicker Jason Sanders?

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

After a great rookie season, Sanders was inconsistent for the Dolphins in 2019, making just 23 of 30 attempts.

As a seventh-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft out of New Mexico, Jason Sanders was a consistent option for the Dolphins during the 2018 season for an offense that was quite the opposite. With the 26th ranked offense in the NFL led by a back-and-forth of Ryan Tannehill and Brock Osweiler, Miami struggled. But Sanders was money, making 90 percent of...
