Friday Night Random Live Thread: Victory Of The Week Vol. 352

Once again we have another work week (for most of us) in the books. That means it’s time for the Victory Of The Week post. This is where you come and tell us what your victory/accomplishment/ect. of the week is/was. Your victory can be something small that you are just happy with or something huge and life altering. This is your post so you decide what you want to share with the rest of the gang.

Remember as always this is an open live thread meaning any subject is on the table outside of...

The Gase Race Heats Up In The Big Apple

Well, that didn’t take long. Just four months after having been hired by the New York Jets to become their head coach, Adam Gase has won a stunning power struggle in New York and engineered the ouster of former Jets GM Mike Maccagnan. What’s more, Gase has also been named interim GM by the team’s ownership, and will almost certainly have considerable input into who Woody and Chris Johnson ultimately bring in to run the team’s personnel department.

This is just the latest chapter...

Biggest ‘What If’ in Dolphins history

A couple of days ago, our old friend and former contributor to The Phinsider Ryan Yousefi posed at the Miami New Times an article looking at the “Five Biggest “What If’s” in Miami Sports History.” He also asked Twitter for more Miami sports “What Ifs.” Of course, my thoughts were immediately on Miami Dolphins ‘what ifs.’

There is an obvious number one (and two?) for the Dolphins, so I am going to take that away from your answers. The ‘what ifs’ surrounding Drew Brees...

The Splash Zone 5/24/19: Kenyan Drake Just Wants More Wins

Welcome to the Splash Zone, the quickest way to get your day started off right. We bring you a rundown of Miami Dolphins news from the last 24 hours.

Kenyan Drake sounds a lot like most Dolphin fans as we just want the team to win more games. It would seem Drake is fine with getting less touches as long as the team is getting the win at the end of the day. The teams backfield could turn into a committee as both Drake and Kalen Ballage showed some explosiveness last season

Phinsider Question Of The Day (W/ Live Thread, General Discussion & Poll) 05/22/2019

Tonights Phinsider Question Of The Day is again about the logo. Perhaps it’s because I have gotten to the point where I don’t really notice it but I for sure still do not love it. My question is, would you prefer the club stick with the current logo, go back to one of the previous logos (shown below) or go with the one at the bottom? This is one of the logo’s that circulated around the time that they had announced a new logo but not yet unveiled it. I loved it then and I love it now. I...

Dolphins sign defensive lineman Adolphus Washington

The 24 year old defensive lineman signed a one-year deal with the team on Thursday

All offseason long, fans and analysts have been singing the praises of Dolphins’ general manager Chris Grier.

After all, his approach to the offseason is quite different than those of the past. Instead of overpaying for flashy free agents, they have remained focused on the future. And with low-risk, high-reward signings like Eric Rowe, Dwayne Allen, and Chris Reed-who could argue with his approach.

Today,...

'Next Malcolm Butler'? Hope exists for Dolphins' undrafted free agents

Coach Brian Flores helped groom the cornerback into one of the best undrafted free-agent signings, and players are hoping he'll do the same in Miami.

The Splash Zone 5/23/19: Stephen Ross Has Not Met Josh Rosen Yet

Welcome to the Splash Zone, the quickest way to get your day started off right. We bring you a rundown of Miami Dolphins news from the last 24 hours.

The Dolphins made the move on day two of the NFL Draft to acquire Josh Rosen, who could potentially become the teams franchise quarterback. The coaching staff is glad to have the young gun at quarterback, but there’s just one issue. Stephen Ross has yet to meet his new quarterback. Maybe Ross has decided to keep his nose out of the...

Phinsider Question Of The Day (W/ Live Thread, General Discussion & Poll) 05/22/2019

Tonights Phinsider Question Of The Day is did you miss me during my extended absence? I know I did not warn anyone outside of Kevin that I would be gone for a bit but it was supposed to be one simple surgery with one overnight in the hospital that turned into one difficult surgery and then a second surgery and a week of trying to keep enough blood in me to be able to go home. Anyway I am now back among the living and doing much better. Tip of the hat to Bill for checking on me. Appreciate...

Annual ‘DeVante Parker shines in May ready for breakout’ report

It’s that time of year again. Will Parker be able to carry it to the regular season?

Reports throughout the Dolphins’ organized team activities have indicated that Parker is looking healthy and appears set for a breakout this year. This year, Miami will definitely be looking for a breakout from Parker, and early indications are that he could be set up for that breakout.

Oh, I’m sorry. I wrote that in June 2017.

Parker has been a “breakout candidate” for three straight offseasons....

Dolphins to play Minkah Fitzpatrick ‘all over the place’

Because Miami Dolphins linebacker Minkah Fitzpatrick is also a real possibility.

So, Miami Dolphins defensive player Minkah Fitzpatrick will continue to be a...

The Splash Zone 5/22/19: Competition At Every Position

Welcome to the Splash Zone, the quickest way to get your day started off right. We bring you a rundown of Miami Dolphins news from the last 24 hours.

Brian Flores wants to push his players to another level and therefore stresses that there is competition at every position. No starting spot is guaranteed and if you work hard enough you will hopefully get that chance to become a starter or perhaps see more playing time. From what we’ve heard from Flores, he obviously wants his players to...

Miami Dolphins 2019 season: ESPN’s Bill Barnwell sets ‘to do’ list for Miami

It feels like most of the time ESPN does anything to cover the Miami Dolphins, it comes from someone who does not know the team. It just feels like the Dolphins have not been relevant enough in recent years for ESPN - and much of the national media - to take an in-depth look at the South Florida franchise.

Bill Barnwell feels like someone who has often been someone who does not appear to closely look at the Dolphins before throwing out some opinion or need. Maybe that is just a personal...

The Dolphins new throwbacks are officially available for purchase

Well, not exactly. But at least you can buy your Kenyan Drake and Minkah Fitzpatrick white throwbacks!

Weekly Fan Reactions to Miami Dolphins Related News and other NFL Topics

Happy Monday Dolphins fans! If you’re a fan of Game of Thrones, like myself, you may be starting your day off a little annoyed by the season finale last night (based on my Twitter feed). It looks like I’m one of the few who actually enjoyed the finale, but either way it’s over and at least you can enjoy all the memes that are circulating because of it. Speaking of memes and Game of Thrones, let’s discuss what all happened over the past week since my last article, because a picture...

Dolphins schedule 2019: Point spreads through Week 16

The offseason training programs for all 32 NFL teams are underway with Organized Team Activities and minicamps coming up on the annual calendar. The betting lines for the regular season, however, starts now.

We have already seen the win total bets, with the Miami Dolphins often listed as the team expected to win the fewest games in the...

Dolphins Are Making Moves That Make Sense

We can safely say that the Patriot Way is on full display in the city by Biscayne Bay, and as far as I’m concerned, that’s quite okay.

It’s becoming increasingly clear that the Miami Dolphins’ front office has set their sights on molding the organization into ‘Patriots South’, not just with their offensive and defensive philosophies, but in terms of how, and what kinds of players they acquire and what they’re willing to pay for those players, both in terms of salary and in...
