During rookie minicamp, the Las Vegas Raiders came away impressed with several players. The event saw the Raiders get to see their 11-man draft class in action for the first time, as well as the 15 undrafted free agents the team acquired shortly after.
The Las Vegas Raiders went all-in on offense this offseason. After luring former Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll out of retirement, the Raiders pulled off a blockbuster trade to reunite their new head coach with his former quarterback, Geno Smith, and then got down to work adding potentially dynamic weapons around him.
The Las Vegas Raiders finished the 2024 season with a 4-13 record, bottom of the AFC West. The franchise will be hoping to turn things around this year with Pete Carroll in charge and Tom Brady’s input as a part-owner.

The Las Vegas Raiders did a good job getting their draft picks signed early, with only two exiting rookie minicamp without inking their deals. Second-round wide receiver Jack Bech and third-round cornerback Darien Porter were the last two draft picks the Raiders had yet to sign.
One of the strengths of this Las Vegas Raiders team is their defensive line–anchored by the likes of Maxx Crosby and Christian Wilkins. However, one undrafted rookie addition is poised to make a significant impact and infuse the team with an additional level of welcomed violence.
On Thursday, eight of 11 Las Vegas Raiders draft picks from the 2025 NFL Draft officially signed the dotted line on their rookie deals. On Friday, Dont’e Thornton joined his eight draftmates, making it nine of 11.

4th-round pick has some high expectations
There has been a lot of juice surrounding Las Vegas Raiders’ fourth-round draft pick, wide receiver Dont’a Thornton since the team selected him.
The team and fans are tantalized by Thornton’s rare combination of side (he’s 6-foot-5) and speed (he runs a 4.3 40). The kid can rip the roof off of a defense as a true Al Davis-type vertical threat.
