The Pro Bowl wideout is staying in the NFC West.
If San Francisco 49ers fans thought they were getting rid of Cooper Kupp, think again.
The Pro Bowl wide receiver is staying in the NFC West, instead going to play for the Seattle Seahawks on a three-year, $45 million deal.
Kupp is a Yakima, Washington native and attended Eastern Washington, so he’ll be playing for his hometown team, which seemingly played a factor in his decision.
The 31-year-old wideout...
After one season with the San Francisco 49ers, Sam Darnold left for a breakout 2024 campaign with the Minnesota Vikings. He parlayed that success into a lucrative contract with the Seattle Seahawks, where he will now face his former team twice a year.
According to Mike Garafolo, the Giants have agreed to terms on a contract with LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles. Flannigan-Fowles, 28, wound up going undrafted out of Arizona back in 2019.

Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles is headed to the big apple
Long-time San Francisco 49ers linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles is headed to the Big Apple. Flannigan-Fowles, who was an undrafted free agent a part of the 2019 NFL Draft class, signed a one-year deal with the New York Giants.
Flannigan-Fowles started sparingly during his tenure with the 49ers. He did most of his damage on special teams and occasionally filled in as the third linebacker if an...

The 49ers have connections to a former first-round center.
The San Francisco 49ers have been one of the quieter teams in free agency, seeing quite a few free agents leave on lucrative deals, while not making any major moves in return.
They’ve instead looked to release a few veterans, letting go of fullback Kyle Juszczyk, defensive tackles Javon Hargrave and Maliek Collins, and long snapper Taybor Pepper, while also trading Deebo Samuel to the Washington...
The San Francisco 49ers have made several curious moves this offseason, and it's not because of their additions. The focus has been on the team's losses, including along the defensive line—an area already seen as a weakness.

Pro Football Focus (PFF) released its free agency grades for all 32 NFL teams, and unsurprisingly, the San Francisco 49ers received low marks. After finishing 6-11 in the 2024 season, the team remained on the sidelines during the initial wave of free-agent signings, watching other teams improve their rosters.
