Poll: Are you getting a BlizzCon 2017 Virtual Ticket?

Blizzard’s Diablo plans at BlizzCon 2017

We already know that there’s not much for Diablo this year but there are a couple of things if you’re interested. It’s probably not worth the price of a Virtual ticket if Diablo is all you’re interested but there’s at least something including a “convention-exclusive Diablo III experience” if you’re attending.

Heading to the con? You might have noticed we’re setting up a small demo area this year right at the front of the main floor! Swing by and try out...

Diabloii.net interview with Path of Exile’s Chris Wilson: The Diablo Podcast #221

It’s been a while but we’re back with a new podcast! In this episode, I am joined this time around by Chris Wilson, Lead Designer/Creator of Path of Exile. As Diablo is moving into maintenance mode and PoE is pushing out content left, right and centre, I thought it would be great to chat with Chris and contrast the two games. Take a listen and enjoy.

If you’d like there to be less of a podcasts drought and would like to be a part of one, contact me @hcxanth on twitter or email...

BlizzCon 2017 Merchandise on Sale

Blizzard has now opened the BlizzCon 2017 Merchandise shop for anyone wanting to pick up some merch prior to the event.

A mixture of stuff this year, some of it crazily overpriced, but if you really want to remember the event you may or may not be going to then it’s worth a look. There are some Diablo pieces so at least there is something Diablo related at  BlizzCon this year.

All the Diablo related merchandise can be found on this page, and if you want to move to the dark side and pick...

A notice on locking of Leaderboards while Diablo 3 2.6.1 is deployed

Blizzard is almost set for 2.6.1 but have issued a notice regarding Diablo 3 Era Leaderboards and they will experiment with “technology” that will allow them to lock them while the patch is deployed. This will however impact all leaderboards.

Patch 2.6.1 is on the way and, for those of you who have kept a close eye on the PTR, it is jam-packed full of balance changes across all classes. While many are looking forward to the start of Season 12 to try out these changes, we...

Top Lore Locations Yet to Visit In-Game

From Heaven to Hell the Diablo series has taken us to many fantastic places across the world of Sanctuary, but in a setting as deep as Diablo we've barely scratched the surface. We've scoured through dusty maps and tomes of forgotten lore to find some of the most interesting locales we've yet to visit in game.

  5. Kingsport

Whereas Westmarch fills the role of the pinnacle of a civilized medieval city, Kingsport is it's shady counterpart. Located south of Westmarch and Khanduras, Kingsport...

5 Patch 2.6.1 PTR Class Changes To Look Forward To

Patch 2.6.1 is shaping up to be one of the most highly anticipated updates to the game due to the sheer number of builds that will soon become viable again. Players that enjoyed some of the first top-notch builds when class sets were in their earlier stages of development will certainly be reliving those glory days again. Don Vu, Game Designer, made this intention of the development team clear in the latest Developer Chronicles and it would seem that the masses deem the efforts...

Another Diablo 3 PTR Patch Next Week

We thought Blizzard might be coming to the end of the Diablo PTR testing for the 2.6.1 update but apparently not. There’s an update next week.

Originally, this was scheduled to be our last patch. However, after continued observation of performance on the PTR (and passing on some additional feedback), we’re in the process of generating a new build to release for testing sometime next week. We’re going to aim for a Thursday release, but (as you all know is usually the case)...

Blizzcon 2017 Musical Act is Muse

Blizzard has revealed this year’s BlizzCon 2017 headline musical act is Muse which is probably one of the better acts to appear at BlizzCon over the years.

Widely renowned as one of the best live acts in the world, Muse—Matt Bellamy, Dominic Howard, and Chris Wolstenholme—have won numerous music awards, including two Grammy Awards, an American Music Award, five MTV Europe Music Awards, two Brit Awards, six NME Awards, and six Q Awards. Since forming in 1994, Muse have released...

BlizzCon Schedule Live. Worst for Diablo yet

Blizzard was not kidding when they said they would have nothing for Diablo at this year’s BlizzCon. Both the Friday and Saturday schedules are out.

I have joked about the lack of Diablo coverage at BlizzCon in the past but this year Blizzard has come out fighting and put even less on show. Tucked away between all the eSports and WoW stuff are two tiny slivers of time slots for Diablo and they don’t even have a label to say what they are. Something top secret? Not much chance of that.

If...

Surprise! No Diablo announcements at BlizzCon 2017

Are you surprised? Probably not. Blizzard has confirmed that there will be no Diablo announcements at this year’s BlizzCon.

Blizzard could be working on something new Diablo related but we’re not going to hear about it any time soon. I was kind of hoping for a Diablo 2 remaster announcement but that was wishful thinking. Looks like there will be no need for a virtual ticket this year.

Hey everyone,

BlizzCon draws near, and we wanted to give you an update about Diablo’s presence...
