Bringing your daily links to the NFL’s New York Jets
Good morning, Gang Green Nation! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. Shout out to Mr. Wells as always for holding down the fort over the weekend. After having a week to reflect on the loss to the Ravens, and seeing the team out of playoff contention completely, the best you can hope for as a fan is for the Jets to play spoiler. Having to face the Bills and Steelers in the final...

Sunday Night Football, Week 15. Tonight the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Buffalo Bills in a battle of wild card contenders.
The 8-5 Steelers come into this game red hot, winners of three straight and seven of their last eight games. Four of the Steelers’ five losses this season have come against the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers. Those four teams could easily wind up being the last four teams...

Week 15 of the 2019 NFL season continues with five late afternoon games.
In perhaps the best of the late afternoon games, the 6-7 Dallas Cowboys host the 8-5 Los Angeles Rams. A talented but underperforming team, the Cowboys are in free fall, losers of four of their last five games. A brutal recent schedule in which the Cowboys have faced the Minnesota Vikings, the New England Patriots, the Buffalo Bills and the Chicago Bears has contributed to the...

Week 15 of the 2019 NFL season continues with eight early afternoon games.
Parhaps the best of the eight games has the 8-5 Tennessee Titans hosting the 8-5 Houston Texans with first place in the AFC South on the line. The surging Titans have won six of their last seven games. The surge coincides with Ryan Tannehill replacing Marcus Mariota as starting quarterback for the Titans. In a remarkable mid career renaissance, Tannehill is somehow leading the NFL in...

Good morning, Gang Green Nation! The Jets are off this Sunday, licking their wounds from their Thursday night trouncing at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens. Two more games and the 2019 Jets season is in the books and we start to look forward to what Joe Douglas can do to transform this team into a winner. It’ll be time for the NFL Combine before you know it, then free agency and the draft, and a new Jets season will start to take shape, with the...
General manager Joe Douglas will have his hands full this offseason as he attempts to clean up the mess (four straight losing seasons) he inherited.

At best, the Adam Gase Era is off to a bad start for the Jets. At worst, hiring Gase was a mistake ownership should have been able to foresee.
The Jets’ struggles in hiring a head coach aren’t unique, though. Every offseason multiple teams look to hire new coaches. Over half of these hires ultimately fail, sending the team back into the cycle a few years later.
With that in mind, it is a bit surprising to see how little teams have altered their...

With the regular season well underway, we’ve been looking at the players the Jets have added since cutdown day, continuing today with David Fales.
The 29-year old quarterback is listed at 6’1” and 212 pounds and was a sixth-round pick out of San Jose State in 2014. He’s only thrown 48 passes at the NFL level and is yet to make his first start. The Jets signed him earlier this year to back up Sam Darnold.

Jerry Jeudy is a 6’ 1” 192 lb wide receiver from the University of Alabama. He has good size and is an excellent route runner with some of the quickest feet for a man his size. He is a well-coached player with a solid character to go along with game changing skills. Jeudy is the 2018 Fred Biletnikoff Award winner given to the nation’s top wide receiver. He is a soft-spoken kid, a player who doesn’t trash talk. He lets his play do...

Good morning, Gang Green Nation! The Jets were crushed by Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens this week, hardly a surprising outcome when a team with half their players missing goes on the road to take on perhaps the best team in the NFL. Who knows, maybe in a few years some other team will be lamenting a loss to the best team in the NFL, the New York Jets. One can hope.
Here are your links to the Jets this glorious Saturday in December:

The Jets find themselves holding the 9th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft after their Thursday night loss to the Baltimore Ravens according to Tankathon.
The Jets are now a half game “ahead” of the 5-8 Chargers, Broncos, and Panthers. They are a half game “behind” the 4-9 Falcons and Jaguars.
The spot of the Jets’ eventually pick could vary wildly depending on how they and other teams perform over the final three weeks of the 2019 season. There...
Adam Gase and Sam Darnold downplayed their testy exchange on the Jets' sideline during Thursday night's game, saying they both were frustrated with the team's execution vs. the Ravens.
Adam Gase and Sam Darnold had what appeared to be a disagreement on the sideline during the New York Jets’ disappointing loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night, but both the coach and quarterback insist that is not what happened. After one of several drives stalled without points, Gase and Darnold had an exchange that looked like it got a bit heated. The reaction of backup quarterback David Fales also made it seem like the conversation was an uncomfortable one, at the very least....

What was the most important single play of the Jets’ 42-21 loss to the Ravens last night?
I look to the final half minute of the second quarter. The Jets were down 21-7, but they were playing competitive football. They had the ball with a first and 10 on the Baltimore 25. They had a shot of getting within a touchdown at halftime. Even a field goal would have been a positive development.
Unfortunately what followed was an interception by Baltimore’s Chuck...
Adam Gase and Sam Darnold had a heated confrontation during the New York Jets’ 42-21 blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night, but that did not stop the head coach from praising the second-year quarterback afterward. Footage surfaced of Gase and Darnold getting into it on the sideline late in the fourth quarter of the game. The nature of the confrontation is difficult to discern, but the reaction from backup quarterback David Fales speaks volumes, as a look of shock passes...

The Jets lost to the Ravens last night. That means it is our sad duty to hand out an anti-game ball.
I struggled to come up with a single player whose culpability in this defeat deserved to be singled out. A lot of Jets who were responsible for key failures in the game also had positive moments. Marcus Maye had some struggles, but his worst moments came after the game was already out of reach.
With this in mind I am handing out a collective anti-game...

The Jets lost last night to the Baltimore Ravens 42-21 on Thursday Night Football. The defeat dropped the Jets to 5-9 on the season with two games remaining. This is the fourth straight year the Jets will end the season with a losing record.
On today’s podcast I break down the game. Unlike many of the big defeats this season, I would not call this an embarrassing performance. The shorthanded Jets gave a spirited effort against what might be the best...

Good morning, GGN! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. The Jets came up short to the Ravens yesterday in Baltimore to the tune of 42-21. Although the team was beaten badly, they did play hard throughout. Unfortunately, playing hard doesn’t equate to wins. Sam Darnold had two bad turnovers, but the lack of depth at the WR position was highlighted yesterday for a variety of reasons....
Even in a blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens , New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold did enough to impress his coach Thursday night. "It's coming...
In his return after a one-game absence due to the flu, Jets running back Le'Veon Bell rushed for a season-high 87 yards in a 42-21 loss to the Ravens on Thursday night.
