Trades that could shake up the 2019 NFL Draft

Last year saw the NFL draft shaken up long before the first pick was made. Once the New York Jets moved up from sixth overall to the third spot, it became clear that two quarterbacks would go within the top three. As of yet, we have not seen any major trades at the top of the 2019 NFL Draft. We have, however, seen a couple of first-round picks moved for veterans. We promise to see a bunch more trades at the top of Round 1 come Thursday evening in Nashville. Here, we look at a number of trade...

Jets 'determined' to trade down

The Jets’ desire to move down from the No. 3 overall pick has been well documented at this point. Apparently, their motivation is reaching a fever pitch in the buildup to Thursday night’s draft. The Jets are “determined” to slide back, Ralph Vacchiano of SNY hears. Jets GM Mike Maccagnan is on the record as saying he’s “open” to the idea of moving back. Apparently, he’s been underselling it. “They seem to really, really want to move down,” said one NFL exec. “Maybe...

Washington comes into focus as a potential NFL Draft trade partner with the Jets

Right now there are a ton of rumors out there about the 2019 NFL Draft. Many of them are false, but sometimes we can learn things by piecing together separate reports.

On Schefter’s podcast this morning, Redskins were not mentioned in the running for Josh Rosen. He said Giants, Dolphins and Chargers as front runners.

Bringing your daily links to the NFL’s New York Jets

Good morning, Jet fans! I hope everyone’s having a great start to their morning. The Jets started their first day of the veteran minicamp yesterday. Notable players absent were Le’Veon Bell and Darron Lee. I’m not honestly shocked about either being ‘no-shows’. Bell is on an elite level and most of those guys never show up regardless. Darron Lee has been in numerous trade talks so it’s not unreal to assume that the news of...

Report: Washington has had early discussions about acquiring No. 3 pick

The New York Jets are serious about moving down from No. 3 overall in the NFL Draft, and they may have an interesting suitor. According to Connor Hughes of The Athletic, the Jets have had “early talks” with Washington about the third selection, and they are having discussions about the pick with several teams. What Washington would do with that pick is an intriguing question. It has definitely looked at quarterbacks, and one openly wants to be drafted by the team, but it’s not clear...

Redskins talking to the Jets about NFL Draft trade, per report

One blockbuster trade already shook up the early stages of this week’s NFL Draft. But the trade market might not be quiet for much longer. According to Connor Hughes of The Athletic, the Washington Redskins have had preliminary talks with the New York Jets to move up to the No. 3 spot in the draft. This comes on the same day that it was noted Redskins quarterback Colt McCoy underwent another procedure on his injured leag. With Alex Smith’s career in jeopardy and only Case Keenum on the...
