NFL Week 7 power rankings: Rock bottom

A wise woman once said “When you hit rock bottom you’ve got 2 ways to go- straight up and sideways.” Well, the Titans may not have hit rock bottom just yet, but they are pretty dang close coming off the worst offensive performance in this history of Adelphia/LP/Nissan Coliseum/Field/Stadium. The offense was bad, the defense was bad, the special teams were bad, and the coaching staff was bad. Can they rebound in London? It’s a rhetorical question.

Anyway, here are my power rankings...

Titans News: What’s The Issue?

A day after the Brocketship threw for 380 yards on the best defense in football, I watched CJ Beathard put up 30 points on the Packers. Why do I bring this up? Well, because the Titans haven’t scored 30 points since week 6 of LAST YEAR, and because the Titans have scored TDs in only 50% of their games. Pitiful. Get it figured out, coaches, players, everyone.

Jim Wyatt answered a lot of angry questions from fans and a bunch of them are accurate. Is Marcus the guy? What the heck is going on...

Titans lose starting OLB Morgan for few weeks

The Titans are hoping to put Sunday's 21-0 loss to the Ravens behind them. But they'll have to move on without starting outside linebacker Derrick Morgan, who will be out a couple weeks with a shoulder injury.

How much is Jon Robinson to blame for the deficiencies with this Titans team?

Jon Robinson took over as the GM of the Tennessee Titans in January of 2016. At that time the Titans had arguably the worst roster in the NFL. They were easily the worst team in the league at the end of the 2015 season. He walked into a huge mess.

Robinson has done a lot of things very well. The roster is WAAAAY more talented from 1-53 than it was when he got here. There is no arguing that. He deserves a lot of credit for that, but maybe he isn’t actually the second coming that some fans,...

Is Marcus Mariota to blame for Titans' woes? It's complicated

Missed reads, bad throws, ugly drops and an inability to beat the blitz have put Tennessee's offense -- especially its QB -- under the microscope.

My jinxing streak picking Titans games is over

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have noticed I picked the Ravens to win yesterday’s game at Tennessee, which they did by the score of 21-0. This means the streak of games where I jinxed the Titans positively or negatively has ended.

Here’s what happened the first five games.

At Miami: Picked the Titans to win, Dolphins won. Vs. Houston: Picked the Texans to win, Titans won. At Jacksonville: Picked the Jaguars to win, Titans won. Vs. Philadelphia: Picked the Eagles to win, Titans...

The Jaguars defense is so bad that Jalen Ramsey actually shut up

Listen, I am fully aware how bad things are for the Titans right now, but that doesn’t keep me from really enjoying this:

Uncut Jalen Ramsey postgame: pic.twitter.com/xwmKO9ok0y

— Jori Epstein (@JoriEpstein) October 15, 2018

Ramsey spent the whole offseason talking crap about everyone in the league. Now his defense has given up 70 points in the last 2 weeks and suddenly he can’t even say actual words.

Things are really bad here, but this makes me smile.

Titans News: Marcus and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

What a failure of a game. I think it could be classified as “Sad!” as the POTUS would tweet. No one on the Titans did their job. Even Kern shanked a punt. Ryan Succop didn’t even have the chance to kick a FG or extra point. The Titans are averaging 13 PPG, which is abysmal, and if they continue to put up these efforts, it’s going to result in more and more disastrous games.

Turron Davenport wonders if the Titans should make a trade to acquire a reliable pass catcher. Amari Cooper is...

Winners and Losers: Ravens 21, Titans 0

Tennessee’s offense is in free fall right now.

I’m going to keep this brief because I’m as depressed as you are after watching the Titans completely no-show at home against the Ravens today. Here are the winners and losers (lots and lots of losers) from Ravens 21, Titans 0.

Rashaan Evans

Its hard to find winners in this game, but I felt like Evans had his best performance as a Titan today. He finished tied for second on the team with 7 tackles and seemed to be all over the...

After 11 sacks and zero points, Titans need offense to 'do better'

Marcus Mariota experienced a dubious first -- more sacks than completed passes -- leaving the Titans with plenty to fix for their next game in London.

Ravens sack Mariota 11 times, a franchise mark

The Ravens sacked Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota a franchise-record 11 times in Sunday's 21-0 victory, the most by a team this season.

Recap: Ravens shutout Titans 21-0

One of the worst performances you’ll ever see.

It was a rainy, nasty day at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. What was already a tough match-up for the Titans offense was made that much tougher by the weather conditions.

Marcus Mariota and the offense struggled out of the gates, to put it mildly. The Titans could only generate 25 rushing yards and 81 passing yards in the first half.

The Ravens, on the other hand, made it look easy early on. Joe Flacco manufactured a 17 play, 94 yard drive in...

NFL Inactives: Titans vs. Ravens

Who’s up, who’s down.

Titans Inactives

The big news today? Taylor Lewan is active for the Titans. Lewan exited the game in Buffalo last week with a foot injury. Lewan was a full go during Friday’s practice and will play today, as expected.

Linebackers Wesley Woodyard and Will Compton won’t be able to go today, putting a lot on the plates of Jayon Brown and Rashaan Evans.

Titans Opposition Overview: Baltimore Ravens

The Titans Quickly Find Themselves Back In a Critical Spot

Last week’s game in Buffalo was a missed opportunity on so many levels.

Foremost, the Titans had a chance (by going 4-1) to co-establish the pace the rest of the AFC “playoffs maybes” would’ve had to keep up with. As premature as it sounds, 5 weeks into the season we are starting to see some teams separate themselves from the pack. Unfortunately for the Titans, there are more AFC squads that look to figure into the...

Watch: Devin Funchess makes great TD catch over Quinton Dunbar

Devin Funchess absolutely embarrassed Quinton Dunbar on Sunday as the Carolina Panthers attempted to claw their way back into the game against the Washington Redskins. The Panthers receiver got behind Dunbar with a smooth route, then Moss’d him with a catch over his head. This touchdown was the first of the game for the Panthers, who still trailed 17-7 to Washington after the score.

Titans vs. Ravens open thread

The Titans need a bounce back here. After today they don’t have a home game for almost a month (11/11 when the Patriots come to Nashville is the next one). That month includes a trip to London to face the Chargers, the BYE week and the Monday Night Football game in Dallas against the Cowboys. The Titans really need to win this game.

That won’t be easy against a resurgent Baltimore offense. This is not the same team that came to Nissan Stadium last season when Joe Flacco was Captain...

Six matchups to watch during Titans-Ravens

Tennessee needs to bounce back against an old rival in Week 6.

Titans-Ravens was once one of the greatest rivalries in all of football. The matchup has lost some of its mystique now that Eddie George and Ray Lewis aren’t colliding in the middle of the field play after play, but there is still some bad blood here, especially with Titans fans.

Since the Ravens came into existence in 1996, these two teams have met 19 times in the regular season with the Titans holding a slim 10-9 advantage....

Titans Host Ravens in AFC Central Throwback Rivalry

Both Baltimore and Tennessee sit at 3-2 and are in need of redemption after losing a winnable game.

The Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens rivalry has roots of a deep-seeded hatred. The two had many historic and season defining battles throughout both franchises’ history.

Sunday’s match up will have major implications in determining how the AFC shakes up by January.

Titans Week 6 Enemy Profile: John Brown

Smokey Brown ain’t no joke.

Entering Sunday’s game at Tennessee, the Ravens are bringing a revamped receiving corps featuring wide receivers John Brown, Michael Crabtree, Willie Snead and tight ends Mark Andrews and Hayden Hurst. Combined with a backfield featuring Alex Collins and Javorious Allen, and the offense has life it didn’t have in previous seasons.

One of the X-factors has been John Brown. Previously with the Cardinals, Brown’s battle with sickle cell trait limited him on...
