Defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat is the newest member of the Tennessee Titans after being selected with the 38th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Sweat is a dominant force on the defensive line.

Let’s see how this plays out before declaring it a disaster.
The most polarizing pick of the night was when the Tennessee Titans selected T’Vondre Sweat with the 38th pick on Friday night. The concerns surrounding the pick are legitimate. Sweat struggled to stay in shape while in college. That resulted in him spending a lot of time on the sideline instead of on the field during games. That’s a problem.

Sweat gives the Titans another huge presence in the middle of the defensive line.
With the 38th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans picked T’Vondre Sweat, DL, Texas. The Titans have plenty of needs on the defensive side of the ball. Sweat fills one of those needs on the line. The still need to add an inside linebacker and a safety before the season kicks off.
Sweat is a large man at 6’4 366. It will be fun to watch him and Jeffery...
The Tennessee Titans used the No. 38 overall pick of the NFL Draft to select T’Vondre Sweat, the Outland Trophy winner and former Texas Longhorn star. Most scouts viewed Sweat as one of the top defensive tackles available in the NFL Draft.
Tennessee plans to flip the offensive lineman out of Alabama from right tackle to left tackle.
Heading into 2024 NFL Draft on Thursday the Tennessee Titans were searching for upgrades to a handful of roster deficiencies. Tennessee got their guy in Thursday's first round with Alabama OT JC Latham but there is still plenty of work to be done.

How did fans grade the Titans first round pick?
Last night I posted a poll asking you to grade the Tennessee Titans first round pick of Alabama OT JC Latham. Here are the results:
76% of you gave Ran Carthon and company at least a B for the Latham pick. If you are someone that gave the Titans a C or lower for the pick, I’d love to hear your reasoning. My guess is it falls into one of two camps:
The first is that Latham was a...
JC Latham may have surprised some Tennessee Titans fans as the selection at pick seven overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, but it shouldn't have. The Titans and general manager Ran Carthon may have just landed the most physically dominant and proven winner in every facet of the blocking game based on the advanced stats among all tackles in the class.
The Tennessee Titans walked out of the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft feeling satisfied after filling the most glaring hole on its roster. Tennessee was in desperate need of an offensive tackle, so the team took its Bill Callahan's highest-rated prospect at the position in Alabama's JC Latham with the No.
Despite receiving multiple phone calls from teams interested in moving up, the Tennessee Titans held on to the 7th overall pick in the 2024 NDL Draft and used it to select Alabama OT JC Latham.

A look at who the Titans could pick on day 2.
The Tennessee Titans currently only have one pick tonight at number 38. Ran Carthon will probably be doing everything he can between now and while they are on the clock to move down and add another pick on night two. We will have to wait and see if he is able to do that.
The Titans still have a big need at WR as well as plenty of needs on the defensive side of the ball. If they are going to get an immediate...

Nick Saban and Bill Belichick were both a part of the 2024 NFL Draft coverage last night. It’s wild that two of the best coaches to ever do it are both out of coaching currently. Saban is probably out for good. Is Belichick?
Anyway, you knew Saban would have a lot of good things to say about Tennessee Titans first round pick JC Latham, but I love the way he talked about Latham being a trendsetter on the offensive line. Combine Saban’s comments...

Kiper has one fair criticism and one that isn’t so fair.
Mel Kiper has put out his winners and losers from round one of the 2024 NFL Draft. One of the teams that he listed as making a head-scratching move was the Tennessee Titans. The reason he doesn’t like the pick is because JC Latham was a right tackle at Alabama. In his description, see below, he says over and over that they drafted a right tackle. While that is technically true, the Titans hired one...
2024 is proving to be a transitional year for the Tennessee Titans. Under a new regime with the front office in 2023 led by Ran Carthon, the team continued purging the roster and coaching staff this offseason.
The Titans went into the 2024 NFL Draft with multiple weaknesses, but there was none more glaring than the offensive line. With the seventh overall pick in the draft the Titans began to shore up its offensive front with the selection of OT JC Latham out of the University of Alabama.

Which direction should the Tennessee Titans take the 38th overall selection in?
The Tennessee Titans selected former Alabama Crimson Tide offensive tackle JC Latham with the No. 7 overall selection in Thursday’s 2024 NFL Draft. In a minor surprise, general manager Ran Carthon and Brian Callahan quickly claimed that Latham will be playing left tackle, not the right tackle position he played at Alabama, in Tennessee.
The Titans will start JC Latham at...
The Tennessee Titans selected JC Latham with the seventh overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft on Thursday night to be their future left tackle. While it's a gamble, the Titans believe in Latham's ability to make a fluid transition to the left side of the line.

Your chance to weigh in!
The Tennessee Titans selected JC Latham with the 7th pick of the 2024 NFL Draft. He played right tackle at Alabama, but Ran Carthon said tonight that he will play left tackle for the Titans. It has been reported that Latham is Bill Callahan’s favorite player in this draft. If he’s sold then I’m sold!
The Titans now have a first round pick at left tackle and left guard. Both guys are on their rookie deals and have enormous...
He’s explosive off the line and can use a powerful drive in the run game, so regardless of his ultimate position, he should be a mainstay in Tennessee.
