A’s 2, Rangers 1
A’s 2, Rangers 1
Its deja vu all over again. The Rangers got a very good effort from their pitchers. They did not score enough runs. Rinse, repeat. This is the sixth straight game where the Rangers have scored three or fewer runs. Its the fourth straight game where they’ve allowed three or fewer runs. They are 1-3 in those four games. Its remarkable. The Rangers run out Patrick Corbin, Jacob Webb, Shawn Armstrong and Hoby...Raymond Carlin III-Imagn Images

The Rangers and A’s now have the same record
The Texas Rangers scored one run but the West Sacramento Athletics scored two runs.
For a while there, the Rangers were a team that had been facing some of the stiffest opposing pitching, contributing perhaps to their slow start at the plate. But I don’t know, if you can’t hit JP Sears at all two times in a week, it’s probably a you problem.
Today the Rangers didn’t even reach their prerequisite two...
The Rangers announced that they have selected right-hander Dane Dunning and optioned right-hander Caleb Boushley, two moves that were reported earlier on Monday.

A couple of veteran A.L. starters landed on the i.l. last week due to flexor tendon issues
Flexor tendons are in the news, with both a key starting pitcher for a division rival and a former Texas Ranger starter landing on the injured list in recent days with flexor tendon strains.

Giants 3, Rangers 2
Giants 3, Rangers 2
Was this the worst loss of the season? Recency bias may be at work here, but it sure feels like it. Jack Leiter spending the first inning doing a damn good imitation of 2024 Jack Leiter, missing arm side over and over again with his fastball, being unable to locate his offspeed pitches, running up a big pitch count and leaving us feeling fortunate that only one run came across. Things were better after that, but...The San Francisco Giants walked off with a win over the Texas Rangers on Sunday, but even they probably do not feel like they earned it.

lmao even
The Texas Rangers scored two runs but the San Francisco Giants three runs.

Josh Jung departed in the fifth inning when his finger wouldn’t stop bleeding
Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung left Sunday’s game against the San Francisco Giants in the fifth inning. The issue appeared to be that he cut his finger barehanding a ground ball, and the cut kept bleeding as the game went on. Josh Smith moved from shortstop to third base to take his place, with Nick Ahmed coming into the game at shortstop.
This is not...

Lefthanded pitcher Walter Pennington, who had been designated for assignment earlier this week when the Texas Rangers purchased the contract of infielder Nick Ahmed, has cleared waivers and been released, according to the MLB.com transaction page.
The fact that Pennington cleared waivers isn’t all that surprising, but the fact...

Jack Leiter has been activated for his start today
The Texas Rangers have activated pitcher Jack Leiter from the injured list, it was announced today. To make room for him on the active roster, the Rangers have optioned pitcher Gerson Garabito to AAA Round Rock.
Leiter was placed on the injured list due to a blister after his start on April 2, which was especially disappointing as his first two starts of the year were very good. Leiter has a solid...
