The Padres announced earlier today that Tom Cosgrove was optioned to make room for Yu Darvish.
Darvish back on the bump....
The San Diego Padres will get some much-needed pitching depth back in the fold. Yu Darvish, who was out with a neck injury, will be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Tuesday’s game against the Cincinnati Reds.

Some quick thoughts on this Sunday night...
The San Diego Padres just got swept by the Philadelphia Phillies in San Diego and it wasn’t close. Philadelphia outscored them 22-13 and they weren’t trailing for more than a half inning.
It was an ugly series for the Friars and the fact that it was against an NL contender makes it worse.
