The Tampa Bay Rays acquired Richard Lovelady from the Chicago Cubs on Saturday in exchange for fellow left-handed pitcher Jeff Belge. The Rays transferred right-hander Jacob Waguespack to the 60-day injured list in order to include Lovelady on their 40-man roster.
Left-hander Tyler Alexander was perfect into the eighth inning, Richie Palacios hit a two-run home run and the visiting Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 4-3 Friday night.
