It wasn’t too long ago that he was one of the league’s top return men.
Last season, the Cleveland Browns faced a significant setback when their star running back, Nick Chubb, suffered a devastating injury early in the campaign.
Watson’s brief tenure with the Browns has been forgettable, to put it mildly.
The Cleveland Browns used to be the team everyone made fun of for being horrible and missing out on the playoffs every year, but in 2020, the team finally got over their playoff drought, and then in 2023, they made the playoffs in one of the craziest ways ever.
Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson seems like he will be ready to go in Week 1 after undergoing shoulder surgery last November, but there could be a lot of pressure on him.

Goal-to-go situations have been quite good for the Browns offense
Offenses in the modern NFL are all about the quarterback and the play-caller. After that, in whatever order, the team’s weapons and offensive line. The gap in importance between the first two and the latter two is pretty huge.
In 2023, the Cleveland Browns started five different quarterbacks who all had struggles but still ended up with an 11-win season and a playoff birth. Despite...

The defensive tackle room is slammed full
When the final gun sounded in the loss to the Houston Texans in the playoff game last year, the Cleveland Browns went into the off-season with only two defensive tackles under contract.
DC Jim Schwartz’s defense’s number one priority every game, every year is to stop the run up the middle of this unit. This means the DT room has to have talented players who can maintain gaps.
Although GM Andrew Berry...
We are now past the NFL Draft and the focus of teams is turning toward rookie minicamp and veterans reporting. Cleveland picked six players in the draft all after the first round and that was the least players added in the AFC North.

Every draft GM Andrew Berry selects a defensive back
The Cleveland Browns only had six draft picks in the 2023 NFL draft. With so few, GM Andrew Berry had to make certain he got value for his decisions.
A former cornerback himself, Berry has taken either a safety or a corner in all of his drafts. He is hell-bent on making certain the safety and cornerback rooms have talent and depth. So far, he has done an exceptional job.
Here’s the list: 2020...

Taking a look at the “why” behind the Browns’ draft selections and UDFA class
The Cleveland Browns made six selections in the 2024 NFL Draft, as well as signed nine undrafted free agents shortly after it concluded.
Andrew Berry didn’t make a trade in the ‘24 draft which was very odd based on his prior draft history, but that’s not a huge deal. If he felt the value was legitimate at each spot based on who was available, he most likely...

The biggest benefit for the Cleveland Browns that came out for the 2024 NFL Draft may have not even been a player that they selected. This draft marked the end of the Browns paying the Houston Texans for the franchise move they made to acquire QB Deshaun Watson.
The thick of the NFL offseason is in the rearview mirror for the Cleveland Browns with the NFL Draft just wrapping up. Free agency is over in terms of it being a frenzy with several players left to find homes still.

It did not take the Cleveland Browns long after the NFL Draft to get back into the free-agency market. Following the weekend when the Browns added six new players in the draft, they’ve now brought in more help on the interior of the offensive line.

Brian Allen was a part of the Rams Super Bowl championship
Just when we think things will be settling down for the Cleveland Browns after drafting six players in the 2024 NFL draft and, reportedly, agreeing to deals with nine undrafted free agents, GM Andrew Berry is up to something again. A day after signing OL Roy Mbaeteka, Berry is going back to the offensive line well by signing center Brian Allen, according to reports.
Allen was drafted in the...
The Cleveland Browns agreed to terms with former Los Angeles Rams center Brian Allen, the player's agents posted Tuesday on social media. AMDG Sports did not provide financial details for the 28-year-old veteran, who started 32 of his 50 games over five seasons with the Rams.
The Cleveland Browns are signing OL Brian Allen to a contract on Tuesday, according to his agency. It’s worth mentioning that signing him to a contract won’t impact a team’s 2025 compensatory picks, given that he was released this offseason. Allen, 28, is a former fourth-round pick of the Rams back in 2018.
