The Green Bay Packers have had a near unprecedented run of successful quarterback play over the last three decades. Brett Favre, of course, enjoyed 15 years as the starting quarterback in Green Bay, setting a high standard of Hall of Fame play at the position.
Green Bay Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd suffered through a difficult rookie season in 2024. After being selected in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, he endured an injury-shortened first pro season.
In 2023, there was no market for the running back position. The league had been burned by running backs getting a big second contract before their production quickly fell off.
The Green Bay Packers lost Eric Stokes, Corey Ballentine, and Robert Rochell in free agency. Now, an opportunity to bring one of them back has arisen. Rochell has been cut by the Kansas City Chiefs even before the offseason team activities, and the former Packer cornerback is a free agent once again.

Trade rumors and roster moves are a natural part of the offseason in the NFL. This year alone, the Green Bay Packers had to handle the Jaire Alexander situation—which is still ongoing, but seems closer to a resolution that would keep him in Green Bay.
One of the biggest storylines surrounding the Green Bay Packers throughout the course of the offseason has been the future of two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander.
It appears the Green Bay Packers are not done being involved in the wide receiver trade market rumors. However, this time, instead of the Pack being the team to add a notable talent, this time, they are rumored as the team sending a talented wideout elsewhere.

Part of the reason for the Green Bay Packers to possibly consider a trade involving cornerback Jaire Alexander would be the off-field stuff. However, it seems like both parties are in an excellent place after all.

With the draft in the review mirror, the Packers head into the next phase of their offseason. Rookies have reported, OTAs have begun, and training camp is right around the corner.
