This will be the first year the father-son duo get to coach together.
With Al Davis passing the team down to his son Mark, the Las Vegas Raiders are a family business of sorts. This year, the Raiders even have a couple of father-son duos on the coaching staff in head coach Antonio Pierce and offensive assistant De’Andre Pierce, and assistant head coach Marvin Lewis and assistant linebackers coach Marcus Lewis.
While the Lewises...
The Las Vegas Raiders have quite the rookie class coming in. They were able to take the best overall player in the entire draft in Brock Bowers and got several other players who can have a legit role on the team as well.
He signed a four-year, $94M pact in 2022 and he ranks ninth in the league in terms of annual average value amongst edge rushers. He has proven to be a sound investment for Vegas so far, racking up 27 sacks across the past two seasons.
The Las Vegas Raiders are one of the few teams in the league that have a legit QB battle going on. In Week 1 it's either going to be Gardner Minshew or Aidan O'Connell and as head coach Antonio Pierce has said several times, the best man will win.
The Las Vegas Raiders have not had the defense they have needed to make the playoffs in the last 20 years. It takes both sides of the ball, and rarely do teams make the postseason when they are very bad on one side of the ball and average or below average on the other side.
The draft is pretty far behind us, but let's take it back a bit and see just how the Las Vegas Raiders got so lucky, even though they didn't get the position they needed most.

Returning Raider Nation’s questions for the week
The Las Vegas Raiders wrapped up their offseason program as mandatory minicamp came to a close this week. The Raiders are about to have a quick summer break and then it’s training camp time as the 2024 regular season is creeping closer and closer. Albert Breer thinks the could be sellers at the trade deadline
The Las Vegas Raiders face of the franchise isn’t a quarterback. Their superstar edge rusher, Maxx Crosby, has outplayed his draft position.
Tom Telesco recognized this and paid him a little extra before this season. He is the leader of the Raiders defense and just announced he plans to be a Raider for life.
However, not everyone believes this. Since the Raiders have questions at...
The Las Vegas Raiders had to make a change in the middle of the season last year. It was one that was needed, and probably too late, as the fan base wanted Josh McDaniels gone before the 2023 season even started.
When the Las Vegas Raiders selected tight end Brock Bowers with the 13th-overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Raider Nation couldn’t wait to see their team’s new weapon in action.
The Las Vegas Raiders made some splashy moves in free agency like signing one of the best defensive tackles in the league Christian Wilkins and bringing in a guy like Gardner Minshew to battle for the starting quarterback spot.
New head coach Raheem Morris and the Atlanta Falcons took the opposite approach this offseason at quarterback from what the Las Vegas Raiders did after they announced they were making interim head coach Antonio Pierce their permanent leader.

Safety has been generating some buzz during OTAs and minicamp
Las Vegas Raiders safety Isaiah Pola-Mao is heading into what’s typically considered a “make-or-break” season for NFL players as a third-year pro in 2024. He’s also going to be a restricted free agent in the offseason, heightening the stakes for the upcoming campaign. The good news is that Pola-Mao has been drawing positive reviews during the Raiders’ OTAs and...

Maybe new rule will give Raiders’ return game a jolt
The NFL is changing its rules for kickoff returns to help player safety and some around the league think it could create more excitement on the play, which has been diminished in recent years.
Perhaps it will help the Las Vegas Raiders break a long streak. The Raiders haven’t returned a kickoff for a touchdown since Jacoby Ford took one 101 yards to the house in a 24-17 in over the...

Who should lead the Silver and Black this season?
Yes, we’ve broached this subject before, but now that the offseason work is over, so it’s time to talk about it again as we head to training camp.
It became clear after the first round of last month’s NFL draft that the Las Vegas Raiders’ starting quarterback in 2024 will be either incumbent Aidan O’Connell or newly signed, veteran free-agent Gardner Minshew.
Last month, we asked...
The Las Vegas Raiders are one of the few teams in the league with a legit quarterback battle going on, where you don't know which of the two guys is better, or who will be the starter come Week 1.
He averaged 23.8 yards per kick return and 9.7 per punt return, ranking 12th in the latter category last season.
