With Al Davis passing the team down to his son Mark, the Las Vegas Raiders are a family business of sorts. This year, the Raiders even have a couple of father-son duos on the coaching staff in head coach Antonio Pierce and offensive assistant De’Andre Pierce, and assistant head coach Marvin Lewis and assistant linebackers coach Marcus Lewis.

The Las Vegas Raiders have quite the rookie class coming in. They were able to take the best overall player in the entire draft in Brock Bowers and got several other players who can have a legit role on the team as well.
He signed a four-year, $94M pact in 2022 and he ranks ninth in the league in terms of annual average value amongst edge rushers. He has proven to be a sound investment for Vegas so far, racking up 27 sacks across the past two seasons.
The Las Vegas Raiders are one of the few teams in the league that have a legit QB battle going on. In Week 1 it's either going to be Gardner Minshew or Aidan O'Connell and as head coach Antonio Pierce has said several times, the best man will win.
The Las Vegas Raiders have not had the defense they have needed to make the playoffs in the last 20 years. It takes both sides of the ball, and rarely do teams make the postseason when they are very bad on one side of the ball and average or below average on the other side.
The draft is pretty far behind us, but let's take it back a bit and see just how the Las Vegas Raiders got so lucky, even though they didn't get the position they needed most.
