The NFL draft has come and gone in the blink of an eye. After months of speculation, analysis and mock drafts, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers finally have their rookie class.
The Bucs needed a backup running back to split carries with Rachaad White and found one of the draft’s more interesting options in the form of Oregon’s Bucky Irving, who stands just 5-foot-9 and weighs 192 pounds.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers landed University of Washington wide receiver Jalen McMillan in the third round of the NFL Draft last Friday, and ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers General Manager Jason Licht has absolutely killed the draft since 2016. And this one was no exception. He came into this draft with a big list of needs and proceeded to address every last one of them (except for ILB, but they got a UDFA, so maybe that’s what he was banking on).
The picture is becoming clearer for what the Bucs will look like in 2024. The bulk of free agency and now the 2024 NFL draft are now in the team’s wake rather than on their horizon.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were very busy over the weekend. They drafted seven new players to continue to build the future of the franchise as well as sign more than a dozen undrafted free agents.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been busy since the end of the NFL Draft. As is tradition following the draft teams rush to sign the undrafted free agents that they feel best suites their scheme.

The Bucs draft is complete, now let’s grade it
With the 2024 NFL draft officially in the rear view mirror, it is time to take a look at and grade the Buccaneers day three selections. They did not have many picks on the day, just three, but the positions they addressed made a lot of sense.
Round 4, 125th Overall, Bucky Irving, RB OregonTampa Bay decided to use their first pick of the day on a running back who figures to have a role for the 2024...

ESPN’s draft guru grades Tampa Bay’s draft.
The NFL Draft has come and gone and grades are starting to pour in as pundits analyze draft selections across the league. ESPN’s Mel Kiper, Jr. has his and he likes what he sees from the Buccaneers.
Now, how drafts pan out won’t be telling for another couple of years. How many times have we seen Tampa Bay make what many called great selections for the player to not play up to...
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected University of Oregon running back Bucky Irving with the 125th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Look for Irving to push for reos as RB2 during the offseason.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are signing Arkansas Razorbacks linebacker Antonio Grier to an undrafted free agent deal, according to a report by Aaron Wilson.
The first three rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft are finally over after many surprise picks and first-time events in the history of the draft. However, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers stuck to their game plan and did what they were expected to: they identified the main issues with their roster and used their picks to address these issues.

The final two picks of the Bucs’ 2024 NFL Draft could make the roster.
The Buccaneers finished off their 2024 NFL draft class on the offensive side of the ball, selecting UTEP guard Elijah Klein at 220 overall and (yet another) Washington tight end Devin Culp at 246 overall.
Klein, by the measure of several people in the know, could be a big-time steal as someone with starting potential. Culp seems like more of a move tight end who will...

Another NFL Draft is in the books, but the Bucs aren’t done adding players to their team
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers seem to have come away from the 2024 NFL Draft having addressed their biggest needs, finding starters and impact players with their first five picks while also adding some depth late in the draft.
Now, it’s time to turn to undrafted free agency where Jason Licht and the Bucs look to continue to add to their roster - while hopefully finding a diamond...

The Bucs found Rachaad White’s complement in the 4th round.
The Buccaneers sought out an upgrade at RB2 and think they’ve found it via Oregon’s Bucky Irving with No. 125 of the fourth round.
Rachaad White will be the undisputed bell cow for Tampa after his 2023 breakout, but he definitely needed some more reliable backup after iffy play from guys like Chase Edmonds and Sean Tucker.
Can Bucky provide that needed change of pace for the...
