Pirates Prospects is reporting (sub. req’d) that Cal Mitchell has gone on the disabled list with lower back pain resulting from a swing and miss a couple days ago. He’s not expected to miss more than a week or so. He’ll be replaced by Fabricio Macias, who’ll move up from Morgantown after just two games. Jin-De Jhang, who got hit on the head by a back swing, also has gone on the DL, leaving the catching ranks even thinner.
