Taking a look at Thursday’s action

Memphis Redbirds 3, New Orleans Baby Cakes 2

Lane Thomas (CF): 1-4, HR, 3 RBI’s

Tyler Lyons (SP): 3.1 IP, 2 R, 2 H, 3 BB, 1 K

Memphis used a big third inning as their only source of runs for the game, and it was all they needed.

Three runs came in that third inning as a result of a 3-run homer by Lane Thomas. New Orleans quickly responded with two runs in the top of the fourth but neither team scored for the remainder of the game.
