The Nationals have designated infielder Matt Reynolds for assignment, per Dan Kolko of MASN. His 40-man spot will go to just-signed second baseman Brian Dozier. Reynolds joined the Nationals last February in a minor trade with the division-rival Mets, though he only went on to accrue 14 major league plate appearances in 2018.
