In the sixth inning Thursday night Indians’ outfielders Oscar Mercado and Leonys Martin collided in left center field chasing a liner by Kevin Kiermaier. The ball went for an inside the park home run in the Rays’ 7-2 win. Martin jammed his knee, but stayed in the game after sliding into Martin and hitting him in the pelvic area. Mercado singled in the bottom of the sixth, but left for a pinch runner when he reached second base. Martin was planning center and Mercado left field.
