The Pittsburgh Pirates came back from a 4-2 deficit to win the final game of the series in Miami, 5-4. The victory provided Pirates with a much-needed series win over the Marlins as they were treading water after seven straight losses, ultimately falling into last place in the National League Central.

Pirates starter Chris Archer got the no decision but went five innings, giving up four earned runs alongside three walks and eight strikeouts.
