The Dolphins cut running back Mark Walton earlier this morning, and now we know why. Miami alluded to a new legal issue in its brief statement announcing the waiving, and it turns out it’s quite serious. Walton was arrested early this morning for allegedly “punching a woman ‘several times in the face and head,’” according to Andy Slate of Fox Sports Radio. Other reporters provided further details.
