Cross-strait tensions remain high since US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan in August. Between Monday and Tuesday, 29 PLA warplanes were detected around Taiwan, including 18 H-6 bombers. Operations in and over the strait aim to normalize the PLA's presence and raise combat preparedness.
