On April 15, 1947, the Brooklyn Dodgers and Jackie Robinson made history when he became the first African-American player in the Major Leagues. In his 10 seasons with the Dodgers, Robinson won a National League Rookie of the Year Award, was named NL MVP and played in six All-star games.
