There are two ways you can mute someone on Snapchat.

You can mute a friend on Snapchat to get fewer notifications without unfriending the individual. To disable message notifications, go to Chat Settings by tapping and holding the conversation you want to mute. You can also mute someone's Snapchat Stories and notifications through the Story Settings option.
