The Rangers have claimed pitcher Nick Mears on waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates

The Texas Rangers have claimed pitcher Nick Mears on waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates, the team announced today. To make room for Mears on the 40 man roster, the Rangers have designated outfielder Eli White for assignment.
