While I projected that the Colorado Rockies’ 2023 Opening Day lineup will look largely the same as the previous campaign, the key difference between the two years is top prospect Ezequiel Tovar at shortstop. Barring any last-minute offseason trades that send the likes of Randal Grichuk or C.J. Cron elsewhere, Tovar is likely to be the only prospect in the starting nine.
