77 members of Congress violated the STOCK Act in the 117th session of Congress. The Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act of 2012 is designed to curb insider trading and requires timely disclosure of financial trades. This term, Congress debated restricting its members from trading individual stocks, however, no bills were brought to a vote.
