Amazon saved up to $4 billion in 2022 by canceling or delaying warehouse openings, Wulfraat says. The company scaled back warehouse expansion last year in the face of an economic downturn. Last year, it still added capacity equal to about third of what Walmart built in its entire history, according to MWPVL.
