Twitter workers were told to check their spam folder if they did not receive their severance agreement.

Twitter has had to reassure laid-off staff that an email about severance agreements was genuine. The email was sent from an external address and redirected them to a website. Twitter said that the email "is not a phishing attempt" and warned it could be in spam folders.
