The lack of a running game spoiled his Bengals’ debut.

Jake Browning had big shoes to fill.

Browning was taking over for the injured Joe Burrow and was making the first start of a career that saw him join the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He spent the next two years on the practice squad before joining the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad in September of 2021.
