Both Nelsons threw for the Snakes and were aided in their efforts by Pavin’s first bomb of Spring.

The Diamondbacks prevailed late in the contest against the Not-yet-Vegas Athletics. Through six innings, the game was tied at 2 before the benches emptied and the game was decided on a few runs scraped together by the D-backs youngsters in the 8th and 9th frames.
