Google to end updates and support for 1st and 2nd-gen Nest thermostats

The early Google Nest thermostats are finally being left behind.

Google announced via its Nest support forum that it’s ending support for first and second-generation Nest Thermostats. That means no more updates and no more remote control through the app or Google Assistant. The move affects the original 2011 model, the 2012 second-gen model, and the 2014 European version.
