Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips has been out promoting his recently released memoir, which is full of musings on his relationship with his father, legendary Oilers head coach Bum Phillips.
One of the stories in the book, entitled “Son of Bum: Lessons My Dad Taught Me About Football and Life”, Phillips recalled being fired as the coach of the Dallas Cowboys – and a text he received from wide receiver Terrell Owens that he never forgot.
