J.J. Hardy will be out until at least August with a fractured wrist. The beloved Orioles shortstop is a great defensive player who has struggled at the plate the past few seasons. He is hitting a poor .211 this season and his WAR (wins above replacement) is -0.6, which is below average. This is clearly not Hardy’s best season, and the team will have to decide whether to pick up his $14 million club option for next season.
