Carlos Martinez did not join the Cardinals in Cincinnati until a day after his teammates had arrived to avoid him spreading a touch of the flu. Martinez said he was feeling much better when he arrived Wednesday, and he will now try to help the Cardinals feel better about their postseason prospects. As the Cards go for the sweep at Great American Ball Park on Thursday, Martinez will get the start against the Reds.
