The Miami Dolphins were noticeably flat offensively this season, having the twenty-fifth ranked offense this season. Former offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen and Miami head coach Adam Gase obviously could not get the best out of the unit, leading to the appointment of former Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains to take the helm.
